In 2009, the Jerroms nominated charity was Newborns in Need (previously known as Breath of Life).  This appeal raises money for Heartlands and Good Hope Neonatal Units and Solihull resuscitation.

The charity is close to our hearts at Jerroms as receptionist Lisa Abercrombie gave birth to Oscar, one month prematurely in December 2006.  Delivered by emergency caesarean, Oscar, who wasn’t breathing, was resuscitated in Solihull before being transferred to Heartlands and given no chance of survival.  Thanks to the staff and equipment, Oscar did survive and has gone on to become a healthy 3 year old!

Jerroms held 2 pub quizzes raising £2,000 each time and a charity golf day which raised over £700.  Together with several raffles throughout the year, a whopping £5,000 was raised for much needed equipment in the neonatal units.
